Indian tech and automobile giant Tata is a major company poised to make significant investments in Andhra Pradesh. CM Chandrababu Naidu tweeted about this recently, sharing the following message:
“I met with the Executive Chairman of Tata Sons, Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, in Amaravati today. We reflected on the remarkable legacy of Mr. Ratan Tata, whose visionary leadership and contributions have left an indelible mark on India’s industrial landscape. His efforts have greatly supported the growth of our state.
The Tata Group remains a key stakeholder in the development of Andhra Pradesh. During my meeting with Mr. Chandrasekaran, we discussed strategic areas for collaboration between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Tata Group. TCS is committed to establishing a new IT Development Center in Visakhapatnam, potentially creating up to 10,000 jobs.
To boost tourism and industrial growth, Indian Hotels is considering the establishment of 20 additional hotels across the state (Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, SeleQtions, and Ginger Hotels), along with a large convention center. Tata Power is evaluating projects exceeding 5 GW in solar and wind energy, with a potential investment of Rs 40,000 crore. We also explored potential collaboration on innovative deep-tech and AI solutions for primary healthcare,” Naidu stated. It is evident that Tata is promising substantial investments in AP, which is indeed exciting news.
