In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu, who made her mark in the film industry with her debut in Jhummandi Naadam, shared some candid insights about her experiences in Bollywood. Having worked alongside major stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, she discussed a common trend among leading male actors.
According to Taapsee, many of these “big heroes” prefer to cast heroines who won’t outshine them in films. She emphasized that these male leads often have substantial influence over the choice of their female co-stars.
Taapsee also opened up about her earnings, revealing that contrary to popular belief, she was not compensated well for her roles in films such as Judwaa or Dunki. She explained that people assume she takes on these projects for financial gain, but in reality, she earns more from films where she plays the lead, like Haseen Dillruba. She added that producers often feel they are doing her a favor by casting her in films with established male stars.
