The fire accident that took place in Swarna Palace hotel became a tragedy like never before in Vijayawada. A total of 10 people suffering from Coronavirus had died in the accident.
Hotel Swarna Palace was converted into a Coronavirus facility by a local hospital, and when there was a short circuit, the entire hotel caught on fire, resulting in huge casualties. The response from the political parties of AP has been mixed to say the least.
CM Jagan did not even visit the site or express his condolences to the families of the victims, unlike what he had done when the incident at LG POlymers took place. Given that Jagan lives quite far from Vijayawada, and the fact that it was Coronavirus patients who had died here, he can be forgiven for not coming in person. But what looks suspicious is the fact that the government announced ex-gratia to the families of the victims, when the incident took place in a private institution. This is raising doubts of whether the government has something to do with the incident.
On the other hand, the opposition, TDP, was very vocal and very loud about wanting to shut down LG Polymers after the incident that took place in Visakhapatnam. However, the TDP has been very silent over this incident in Vijayawada. This is raising a lot more doubts over why the TDP is choosing to remain silent.
The silence of political parties has become quite dominant, so much so that it has become impossible to not notice. This is giving way to a lot of talk about Caste fuelled politics, which is even worse, especially when a tragedy like this happens.
Ramesh, the owner of the private hospital that took Swarna Palace for lease has been missing ever since the day of the incident. He has been sending audio bytes to the media, and has said that there is nothing that he has to hide. In the case that he has nothing to hide, then why is it that he is not ready to be found. The police are investigating this case and have been trying to get a hold of Ramesh for a long time now. If Ramesh is really innocent, then wouldn’t it be best for him to just appear in front of them?
With everything that’s going on with respect to the incident at Swarna Palace, one thing is clear, none of the political parties or politicians care about the people, and only care about what’s best for them.
