Kollywood star Suriya’s Jai Bhim, which was released directly OTT platform, was one of the best films of 2021. The film, which is based on the true-life story of Justice K Chandru, was loved by the critics as well as the audiences.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the courtroom drama has now added another feather to its cap. The critically acclaimed film has won three major awards at the 9th Noida International Film Festival. The film bagged the awards of Best Film, Best Actor – Suriya and Best Actress – Lijomol Jose.
Not long ago, a scene from the movie has been featured on the official YouTube channel of the Oscars. It is the first Indian film to be featured on the prestigious YouTube channel. The film was shortlisted as one of the eligible films for the 94th Academy Awards. The nomination was under the category of ‘Best Non-English Language Film’.
