After wrapping up a spectacular pre-wedding haldi & Mehendi ceremony of Miheeka, now the family members to celebs and fans; all eyes are on the lovely couple who would be tying the knot today.
A low key Pellikoduku ceremony was held on Friday at Rana’s residence in Jubilee hills. On contrary to the regular traditional attire, this time Rana was decked up in Chinese coloured buttoned down trousers with a pale white Bandhgala blazer along with a mask too!. Our telugubulletin reporters exclusively covered the news about the ceremony, where Suresh Babu shared about the ritual’s proceedings .
“The ceremony took place in our traditional Telugu style in our house. My wife (Padma) began the ceremony with nalangu, turmeric paste and applied oil,” said Rana’s father amusingly. “The holy bath was performed, after which Rana wore new garments. So everything went according to our style of wedding”, he added.
As per the traditional norms, a guy (groom’s best man) generally accompanies the groom throughout the ritual. But Suresh Babu said that ceremony was held in a bio controlled environment and had decided to forgo using a boy or any band baaja owing to the pandemic situation.
He also added that the family did not want to risk and decided to have less attendees that includes just their close knit circle and Daggubati clan by keeping the custom-practise a very intimate affair yet fun filled.
“The bride’s clan are done with Mata ki chowki ceremony, so after the marriage, we will perform Satyanarayana Vratam at our house,” he concluded. The wedding is all set to begin tonight in a safe environment without much extravagance.
