Much to the shock, the Supreme Court has ordered for a floor test of Maharashtra Assembly tomorrow, with which the BJP has now got a 24 hours of time to prove its majority. The floor test will have a live telecast that too in an open ballot.
The things are expected to be in favor of BJP, as the party’s leader Devendra Fadnavis has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra recently. Meanwhile, the assembly has to elect Pro-tem speaker, who plays a crucial role during the floor test. As the top court has not mentioned anything about it, Fadnavis is likely to take a call on the Pro-tem speaker.
On the other side, NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena, who has the support of 162 MLAs support is betting big on the floor test. Out of 288 MLAs, Maharashtra assembly is now supposed to witness the magical figure of 145.
