Prior to the lockdown, Sukumar shot a small portion of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ in Kerala forest region. Just as Allu Arjun was scheduled to join the sets, the shoot was halted owing to the Covid-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
Cut to now, Sukumar has come up with a master plan to wrap up ‘Pushpa’ on time.
Sukumar is planning to shoot majority of the film in a single forest region. He wants to cut down the number of locations in which the film will be shot. As a result, there won’t be any major breaks between one schedule and another.
The star director tweaked the basic set-up to deduct the number of locales. Also, he has asked the production designers to plan lengthy schedules and avoid unnecessary layoffs once the shoot resumes.
Sukumar plans to wrap up the shoot of ‘Pushpa’ in under 6 month, thus reducing the production costs. If things fall into place, ‘Pushpa’ will be primed for release by 2021 summer and this is said to be Sukumar’s plan of action.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is undergoing a physical makeover for his role in ‘Pushpa’. He will be seen as a lorry driver and his role is said to be an intense one. Rashmika Mandanna will be pairing up with Allu Arjun in the film. Mythri Movie Makers are producing it.
