Former Prime Minister of India, PV Narasimha Rao has been declared as a legend in India Politics from yesterday on the eve of his centenary. He is a loyal Congress leader but the BJP and TRS are also showering praises on him all of a sudden which people think is nothing but a political drama from all our leaders.
All these days, the Telangana Congress neither mentioned his name in any of their meetings or praised him at any event. Leave appraisals they neither referred him anywhere as one of their greatest leaders. PV Narasimha Rao is a socialist and his rule is a significant era in Indian history economically and he is the one who made India a globalized country which is a major revolution in Indian economic history.
On the other side leaders like KCR, Chandra Babu and YS Jagan started to term him as a great leader and a socialist. KCR is saying that PV Narasimha Rao deserved ‘Bharata Ratna’ and promised that he will make sure that PV gets the honorary award and CBN said that he already raised this topic in the assembly in the past.
Now, the Congress leaders are shocked with these statements from TDP and TRS and started to doubt whether PV belongs to their party or not. Of course, PV Narasimha Rao deserves all the hype in the world and he is a legendary politician for many reasons and the economic reforms he brought in the country in the association with Manmohan Singh (then Finance Minister) are the best so far. But these kinds of politics are nothing but desecrating the actual name of great leaders for their own benefits
But, no Congress leaders mentioned his name even their campaigning period as many people in the country believe that Sonia Gandhi didn’t have good terms with PV at the end of his tenure. Now, BJP started to own PV as they did in the case of Sardar Vallabhabai Patel where these two people are loyal Congress leaders which is nothing but a political game. Even in our state. NTR and YSR are often praised by all the AP leaders on their birth anniversaries and this tradition should come to an end soon.
