Prashanth Neel, the director of the much-anticipated film Salaar, expressed disappointment with the censor board’s decisions regarding the movie’s certification.
He revealed that while he was willing to make several cuts as suggested by the censor board, there were specific scenes crucial to the storyline that he didn’t want to alter.
Despite Salaar movie content is not being vulgar, the board requested cuts that Neel believed would significantly impact the film. In discussions with actor Prabhas, he advised Neel to opt for an A certificate due to the necessity of certain violent elements within the storyline.
Prashanth Neel highlighted the film’s focus on essential violence rather than vulgarity, leading to the decision to pursue an A certificate despite the challenges faced during the censorship process.
