It is known that TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu is on a three-day visit to Nellore district where he will be participating in various programmes in Kandukur, Kavali and Kovur constituencies from December 28 to 30.
His public meeting at Kandukuru today ended in turmoil after seven of his party activists died during the stampede that occurred in the meeting.
As per reports, TDP ranks and people flocked to CBN’S meeting in huge numbers at Kandukuru. At this time, there was a scuffle between the activists and a few fell in the Gundamkatta outlet canal.
Noticing this, Chandrababu stopped his speech and immediately suggested that they should be taken to the hospital. Another 8 activists were also seriously injured in the incident.
Going by reports, the TDP supremo immediately went to the hospital after stopping the program saying that he would give a speech after knowing the well-being of the victims. The Telugu Desam Party has announced an ex-gratia of 10 lakhs to the kin of the deceased victims.
