Srikanth Addala who has proved himself to be a sensible director has seen an all time low with the movie Brahmotsavam. After the debacle of this Mahesh Babu starrer, Srikanth Addala has failed to get any project.
After these many years, Producer Suresh Babu and Victory Venkatesh, who earlier worked with the director for ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ has given a chance to direct ‘Asuran’ remake to which the director accepted gleefully.
While many have wondered for choosing Srikanth Addala for such a raw and intense drama Asuran, it is said that budget issues are the prime reason for selecting him. Producer Suresh Babu needs to wrap up Asuran remake with a meagre budget of 13 crores.
Srikanth Addala was offered a monthly salary of Rs. 2 lakhs. But the director will get a share in profits if it gets any. Not thinking about the remuneration, Srikanth Addala wants to prove himself. So that’s why he said okay for the project.
On the other hand, Venkatesh will not get any remuneration too. He will share the profits. For the good of cinema, they have decided to go with low budget.
Pre production works have already been in final stages. Shooting might start by the end of December or in January first week. More details will be out later.
