In a challenging phase for the OTT market, two upcoming Telugu biggies have managed to secure record-breaking digital deals even before their theatrical release. Rebel Star Prabhas’ Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has reportedly closed a huge OTT agreement worth ₹160 crore with a leading streaming platform. The deal is said to be one of the highest ever for a Telugu film at the pre-release stage.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan’s Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has also locked an impressive ₹130 crore OTT deal with Netflix. This highlights the growing excitement and market confidence surrounding the film, especially after the response to its updates and action shoot reports.
Both films are also said to include an incremental bonus structure, allowing the makers to earn additional amounts based on the movies’ box office performance. With such massive figures already confirmed, Spirit and Peddi are emerging as major winners in the OTT space even before hitting the silver screen.
