While Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy itself, is not confident of bringing special status to Andhra Pradesh, Congress leader from Yanam, Malladi Krishna Rao has now requested him to get special status to Yanam as well.
Puducherry Health Minister Krishna Rao is a close associate of YSR family. He recently met Jagan and explained the problems being faced by Yanam and thus requested him to ask the Centre about special status.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed a massive victory in the recent elections, and got reelected with a thumping majority, Jagan earlier said that it would be tough to convince the Centre, as it won in the elections, without even a single seat support from AP.
Adding to it, the BJP government in the past, openly declared that it is not going to give special status to any state in the country, under any circumstances. Jagan however, said that he would fight at his best in getting the special status to AP, by reminding PM, in every meet of the duo.
Keeping aside the possibility, a leader of another state, coming all the way to meet the Chief Minister of AP and requesting him to fight for the special status of another state, is now being considered by YSRCP followers, as another feather in the cap of Jagan.
