Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitharam has been insulted at the AP Bhavan in Delhi. Sitharam who went on a personal trip to Dehradun along with his wife took a halt at the AP Bhavan on Saturday. He stayed in guest room number 320 in Swarnamukhi block and had got ready to come back to AP on Sunday evening.
But Sitharam was shocked to receive food and stay bill from the AP Bhavan staff. They even asked him to sign on a book regarding the same. Aggrieved over it, Sitharam then asked the staff about the reason behind charging money from a Speaker.
But the staff said that they are supposed to arrange a state guest room, but instead allotted it under Category 1. Left with no option, Sitharam then payed the bill and warned to go against them later. Even Sitharam’s wife lashed out at the staff saying that they embarrassed a Speaker.

Generally, the situations of this sort will be faced by the opposition leaders. But though being a Speaker, it is implied that Tammineni is a ruling party leader. Even then, it is unfortunate to know that he faced such a humiliating situation at the AP Bhavan.
