South Indian films continue to dominate the Mumbai box office, breaking records and outperforming Bollywood. The recently released Pushpa 2: The Rule has emerged as the top-grossing film in Mumbai, collecting an impressive 267 crores.
Following closely is Baahubali 2, which earlier set the benchmark with 182.56 crores. These Telugu films have showcased their excellence in storytelling, cinematography, and strategic marketing, winning over audiences across India.
Other notable films in Mumbai’s top 10 include KGF Chapter 2 (₹145.45 crores), Tanhaji (₹143.85 crores), and Bollywood hits like Jawan and Pathaan. However, the dominance of Telugu films highlights their growing appeal in the Hindi speaking belt.
