Sonu soon is gaining much attention for his philanthropic activities these days and many are hailing him as the real hero for his continued services for the well being of the society. He is known for his antagonist roles in the films like ‘Dabbang’, ‘Sing is king’ and ‘Simba’.
On saturday the actor Sonu Sood met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai and shared the initiatives taken by him with a motto to favour the migrant people to reach their homes.
The actor gave an overview regarding his ongoing work and the governor lauded the actor for his dedicated support for arranging buses to ferry transient labourers to their respective homes. Prior to this gathering, on May 27, Maharasthra Governor likewise praised Sood via calls and posted about it on Twitter.
“Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari called up filmstar @SonuSood and commended him for his committed work in encouraging ans arranging the timely transportation of migrant individuals from different states to their home states,” tweeted the Governor of Maharashtra.
“Film star @SonuSood approached at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai today. Shri Sood advised about his progressing work to help the migrants,” he notified.
Sood replied to the tweet by expressing that the Governor’s compliments have inspired him to work even more determined .
“Thank u so much, sir. Your words inspire me to work harder. Will continue working for the migrant brothers and sisters till we unite them with their families. Honoured,” tweeted Sonu Sood.
Thousands of migrant labourers have been stranded in urban cities with lot of hardships and had been struggling without any work in the lockdown. This propelled them as a last time resort to go on foot in the scorching heat. Many were reported dead too.
