Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, who has been tirelessly and selflessly working for the needy ever since the pandemic arrived, has yet again won everyone’s heart for his generous gesture.
The national hero has airlifted a critically ill Covid-19 patient in an air ambulance from Nagpur to Hyderabad to get the special treatment done.
As per reports, the 25-year-old girl, Bharti, had damaged almost 85-90% of her lungs because of Covid-19. When doctors gave up hope, Sonu got her moved to Wockhardt hospital, Nagpur. But there, the team of doctors suggested she required a lung transplant, which was only possible in Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad. The actor has made the entire setup for a special treatment called ECMO in Apollo Hospital and then airlifted her.
Although the doctors said that, the chances are 20%; the actor didn’t hesitate and wanted to go ahead with it saying that she will fight the battle hard and she will come out of it stronger. Currently, the treatment is going well in Apollo Hospital. Apparently, this was probably the first Covid-19 case where a patient was airlifted in an air ambulance.
