After the release of Devara, there were many rumours that no sequel would happen, especially since NTR is busy with War 2 and Dragon. But the team has now confirmed that Devara 2 is on the way, putting an end to the gossip.
Film sources say that Simbu has been approached because one mystery character from the first part was not revealed. That role is expected to be very important in the sequel. Fans believe Simbu might be the surprise entry in this continuation.
Simbu earlier enjoyed good popularity in Telugu with films like Manmadha. Though his market slowed down later, he bounced back with movies like Nawab and Life of Muthu. By acting in an NTR movie, Simbu is expected to get a huge boost in Telugu market.
Another name linked with Devara was Bobby Deol, but it is still unclear if he is part of the project. Some say the role planned for Bobby may now go to Simbu, or there could be two different characters. Director Koratala Siva is said to be reworking the script to make Devara 2 even bigger.
