On December 2, 2024, in honor of the legendary actress Silk Smitha’s birthday, STRI Cinemas announced the upcoming feature film titled “Silk Smitha – Queen of the South.” This official biopic will portray the captivating life story of the beloved actress, with Chandrika Ravi starring in the titular role.

The film is directed by Jayaram Sankaran and produced by SB. Vijay Amirtharaj. Production is set to begin in early 2025, which is expected to delve into the intriguing narrative of Silk Smitha’s life and career.
