USA is now becoming the epicenter of the Covid -19 pandemic with conformed cases above 2 lakhs. The nation is struggling to control the spread of Corona Virus while balancing the economy. As a country with freedom as the first priority, USA was not able to completely restrict people to their homes. Bill Gates pointed this out saying that if USA doesn’t shut down everything for atleast 10 weeks, the nation will be in great danger.
Bill Gates stated that the restrictions on movement were not being followed correctly by the people. The beaches are open and few restaurants too were open. Due to the movement of the people, the virus too is moving from one person to another, is Bill Gates’ view. As a country with capitalistic views, Bill Gates is warning Trump that the economy of USA will crash leading to a major financial disaster, if USA doesn’t shut down everything for 10 weeks.
It is a litmus test for Trump as his actions now will decide his position in the next elections. We have to see if Trump follows Bill Gates’ advice.
