The brutal sadistic custodial deaths of two dealers, Jayaraj P and his son J Benix aka Fenix have triggered massive outrage in Tamil Nadu’s Tuticorin. A day after reports of the fierce torment and passings of the duo, many netizens including celebs grieved the shocking incident via social media. Now the twitter is inundated with tweets with hashtag #JusticeforJayrajandfenix
On Monday, police upbraided P Jayaraj(59), who ran a cell phone mechanics shop with his son Benicks as the store was open past lockdown-imposed time limit. As per the government rules, shops are to be shut down by 8 p.m. The duo ran till 8:15 and were about to shut down. Police just then warned and cruelly thrashed Jayraj. A mere 15 min delay took their lives at the point when his son Benix or Fenix (31)interrupted police.
Inconsistencies in FIR
The FIR states that the two had internal injuries after resisting arrest. Many questioned if there were internal injuries, how did the magistrate gave a nod for judicial custody rather than hospitalising.
FIR was registered by SI P Raghuganesh at 9:15 pm as per the information given by Head Constable Murugan who was patrolling at 9:15. But the eyewitness claim it to be 8:15 p.m
In custody they were allegedly tortured by abusing sexually until the scene turned gory making them bleed. Later, they were sent to hospital where a doctor declared them fit despite eyewitnesses reportedly claimed that they were badly bleeding.
Eyewitness’ shares a heart wrenching tale
Fenix’s lawyer who was there in the station when the police had a heart wrenching tale to confess.
Advocate S Manimaran, an eyewitness to the brutality said, “We were standing out and we were seeing the whole incident from outside through a glass gate. Fenix and his father were beaten. In the morning there was blood all over the place where they were sitting.”
Another witness shared that Fenix was thrashed mercilessly until his flesh ripped off. He was sodomised badly until his rectum bleeded profusely.
