For the past few days, there are many speculations that Samantha Akkineni would be playing the female lead in Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film, a remake of the Bollywood hit movie Pink. However, now it is learned that Sam has reportedly refused to take up the project.
We recently reported that Sam rejected to make her Bollywood debut with her blockbuster remake of U Turn, which implies Samantha might not be interested in doing too many female-centric films. Now it seems Sam rejected to star in the Pink remake as she is not interested to do Bollywood remakes.
On the professional note, Sam is awaiting for the release of the Telugu remake of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s 96, which is tentatively titled as Jaanu.
The film, backed by Dil Raju, is likely to arrive in theatres on February 14th, 2020. Sam is also working on the Amazon Prime Original The Family Man Season 2, featuring Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee in the lead.
