The first COVID-19 case in Andhra Pradesh has been reported in the Nellore district. Since then there is no stopping this Corona in the Telugu states as the number of positive cases has already crossed 600. If we see the graphs of the various districts in Andhra Pradesh, it is way more unusual than expected.
Srikakulam and Vizianagaram, phenomenally, haven’t reported one positive case yet and remember they share borders with Orissa and Chattisagrah partially. The most worrying districts in Andhra are nothing but Kurnool and Guntur with 126 cases registered in each district.
The most terrifying factor is, none of the infected persons in these two districts has been recovered and discharged so far. In Guntur, there are 4 casualties while two COVID-19 patients were dead in Kurnool district. In districts like Kadapa and Vizag, the patients who are getting discharged are in tens of numbers but what’s happening in Kurnool in Guntur is just clueless.
After the Tablighi incident, the has been a drastic increase in the number of cases in Kurnool and the Guntur also hit very badly with this religious congregation. Compared to the other districts there has been a 50% growth in positive cases in these districts and the officials have special focus on these two areas as many thousands are people who are yet to get tested are being suspected to be infected with the Virus.
