A study found a significantly higher number of cars in parking lots at five Wuhan hospitals in the late summer and fall of 2019 compared to a year earlier and the keywords related to COVID-19 symptoms are the most searched in the Chinese search engine, Baidu.
In 2019 August, the keywords that are related to this infectious disease such as ‘Cough’, ‘throat pain’, ‘diarrhea’ were are an uptick when compared to the regular searches which suggest us that the Chinese started to puzzle about these long-lasting symptoms and searched about their etiology (cause of the occurrence).
The first cases in Wuhan were detected in mid-December, and Chinese scientists identified the pathogen as a new strain of coronavirus on January 7.
