The job cuts in the IT field has been a burning issue for the past few months. Now, a major IT player, Accenture has announced that the company plans to lay off over 19,000 jobs.
In the latest media communication, Accenture has announced that the company will be laying off 19,000 of its global work force – 2.5% of its full workforce.
The lay offs will be happening over the course of the next 1 to 1 and a half years and the same is to be enforced by the company starting soon.
The company says this is a part of the cost-cutting initiative on an internal basis and says the lay offs are a part of the customary business refining. This should come as a rude shock to the employees who are working with Accenture now.
