It is known that YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, formed a political party named ‘YSRTP’ and has been active in Telangana politics. However, the latest reports suggest that Sharmila’s party will merge with Congress.
According to reports, Sharmila is all set to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi this week. It is said that the daughter of late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy has given the green signal for the merger with no conditions.
Sharmila has already taken the opinions of activists and leaders regarding the same. After the merger, she will contest in the elections from the Paleru constituency. However, Congress and the YSRTP have not officially finalized the date yet.
