Former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, the legendary YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s daughter, YS Sharmila, has officially launched her political party in Telangana today. Her party, YSR Telangana Party, was launched at JR Conventions in Hyderabad today, on the occasion of YSR’s birthday. Sharmila had announced that she intends to bring the golden rule of YSR back to Telangana when she first announced her party launch. She said that YSR’s smile was a beacon of hope to the people of the state, and this is exactly what she intends to bring back to the people.
Speaking at the launch, Sharmila said that KCR has failed utterly in eradicating poverty in the state, and all that he has aced is mincing words and manipulating people. Sharmila said that a lot of people suffered in the state as the CM failed to include coronavirus in Arogyasri. Sharmila also said that while KCR claims to be the best in the welfare of people, he’s only the best at making fake promises. She questioned KCR about the thousands and lakhs of people who are in debt because of corona, and what actions he has taken towards helping them out. Sharmila noted that the CM also failed in creating proper employment in the state. She also pointed out that the state is in a state of debt, to the extent of Rs. 4 Lakh crores, all of which have gone into the pockets of the leaders of TRS, and not to the people.
On the water dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Sharmila asked why the CMs of both the states are not willing to sit down and sort out their issues when they were more than willing to sit and have lunch at each other’s residences. She asked why the water dispute was being made such a huge deal when it could be sorted out if the CMs just spoke to each other. Sharmila said that the water that belongs to Telangana will not be given up easily and that the Telangana state wouldn’t take an extra drop of water, apart from what it’s allotted, if her party comes to power, as her party believes only in justice and equality for all.
Sharmila said that she will work hard and strive towards the welfare of the people, and bring back the golden days of YSR in Telangana. She said that she would be starting her Padayatra in 100 days, to hear and sort out the problems of the people of the state.
