United Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 2014, making it 7 years since two Telugu states have been formed. In these 7 years, there hasn’t been a single instance where Telangana Chief Minister KCR asked anybody to not speak about the Chief Ministers of united Andhra Pradesh. In fact, the names of previous Chief Ministers such as Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy, often came up in the Telangana assembly, for their welfare schemes, and developments in the state.
Naidu and YSR’s names were also taken by TRS MLAs several times, due to their opposing ideas on the formation of a separate Telangana state, and also for their neglect against the people of Telangana, always mostly focused on the people of Andhra. CM KCR also several times, took YSR’s name in the assembly, and praised his welfare schemes, but has now reportedly passed strict orders, asking everyone to abstain from taking YSR’s name in a positive light.
KCR’s stance was clearly visible when he got angry after AIMIM’s Owaisi recently praised YSR for giving a 4% reservation for Muslims. It is now being said that KCR took this decision because of YS Sharmila, who formed her own party in the state, YSRTP, and has been constantly attacking KCR and TRS.
