It is very well known that the case that was filed on Supreme Court Justice NV Ramana, following Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s letter to the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, has been dismissed by the CJI himself.
A statement released from the Supreme Court stated that an in-house probe was made into the allegations that Jagan made against NV Ramana and that these allegations have been ruled out as baseless, frivolous, false, motivated and an attempt to browbeat the judiciary. It was also stated that the in-house procedure that was conducted is strictly confidential and that it is not liable to be made public. The bench that reviewed this case consisted of the CJI and two other senior judges of the SC.
Supreme Court lawyer and legal expert Prashant Bhushan tweeted, stating that it’s a surprise that the details of the in-house procedure are not being made public and that no one knows how the in-house procedure happened, and what the report says.
Prashant Bhushan said that the truth about the matter wouldn’t be understood by the people until there’s full transparency on the matter and that the judiciary shouldn’t be secretive about issues like this.
