It has been over 20 years since the hugely infamous Alipiri blast incident that was planned by maoists to assassinate the then CM Chandrababu Naidu. But the memories of the incident are still fresh in the minds of the Telugu populous across the globe.
On this matter, veteran Maoist, Tech Madhu who claims to have designed the bomb that was used for the explosion, has a set of shocking facts about the series of events.
“In our command chain, we wouldn’t know why we are designing explosives. The explosives that we design will be implemented by some other wing, based on orders from the high command. This way, the bomb that I designed happened to have been used in the Alipiri blast.” Madhu said.
The ex Maoist who is currently off the grid now and is a part of the general public added “The close-range bomb that was designed could have easily blown even a bullet proof car to pieces. Chandrababu was lucky that his car was 10-15 feet away from the detonation point. Had the car been at 5 feet distance, it would have blown to pieces.”
Madhu added that the convoys of VIPs always go in zig-zag formation and this is the reason why Babu’s car got 5 feet further away (10-15 feet in total) from the bomb on that day and that is what saved him. “I don’t know how he got lucky that day. That 5 feet additional distance saved him. Perhaps he has the blessings of Tirumala Balaji”.
Although it might sound shockingly spooky that it was just a five feet distance that saved the longest-serving CM in the history of Telugu states, that is the hard fact according to the Maoist who was involved in the operation. Luckily, Babu is safe and well now, and he went on to win twice as the CM again after the incident(2014, 24).
