It is known that YS Sunitha approached the Supreme Court of India against the interim order given by the Telangana High Court not to arrest Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy in the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy, brother of the late AP Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
The Apex Court on Monday set aside the directives of the High Court, which had granted Avinash Reddy interim protection from arrest. The bench comprising CJI DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha made it clear that such orders should not be issued. They remarked that such orders cause grave prejudice to the investigation. It further extended the CBI investigation period to the end of June.
“CBI is asked to have questions in printed form, provided to him. Why do we have the CBI then?” CJI DY Chandrachud questioned.
