The makers of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata have apparently capped the asking price for the film’s overseas distribution rights. They have taken this decision in the wake of current conditions pertaining to Covid.
The makers of the Mahesh Babu starrer are ready to sell off the overseas theatrical rights for Rs 13 crores. This would mean that the USA break-even mark would be around $2.5 million.
This is a reasonably good deal, considering Mahesh Babu’s market in the USA. The makers are assessing the situation in the USA and keeping their asking price in check.
The overseas theatrical business is yet to be close and the makers are waiting for the right offer to come their way.
The overseas rights of Mahesh’s previous two films Maharshi and Sarileru Neekevvaru were sold for Rs 12.5 crores and Rs 13.5 crores respectively.
