Sammathame starring Kiran Abbavaram and Chandini Chowdary as the lead pair has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it goes.
Krishna( Kiran Abbavaram) who has marriage fantasy since childhood meets Shanvi( Chandini Chowdary) through a arrange marriage alliance. Though Krishna has a bad opinion on Shanvi’s past initially, eventually he gets close to Shanvi’s behaviour and starts liking her. How will Krishna express his love to Shanvi? The moments between the lead pair in their love journey, forms the main USB of the film.
Kiran Abbavaram and Chandini Chowdary perfectly fitted as the lead pair. Both of them acted nicely in the given lead roles. The chemistry between them is a major for the film. Both of them gave decent performance in a couple of emotional scenes between in the second half.
Other artists who did supporting roles are decent in their respective roles. Comedian Sapthagiri evokes decent laughs in a cameo role.
Music by Sekhar Chandra is good as his songs are audible on screen. His background score elevates a few emotional scenes in the second half.
The cinematography work by Sateesh Reddy is decent and so is the case with the editing work by Viplav. Coming to director, Gopinath Reddy, his idea of making a rom-com entertainer is good by his narrative lacks a proper flow. After establishing a few scenes, his screenplay takes a new turn with unwanted proceedings and this happens for the most of the time.
- Kiran and Chandini
- A few romantic scenes between the lead pair
- Uneven narration
- Try conversations
In an overview, Sammathame is a rom-com drama that has a few nice moments between the lead pair. Though Kiran Abbavaram and Chandini Chowdary gave their best, the diluted proceedings with unwanted scenes come as a minus of the film.
