Samantha Ruth Prabhu, recently opened up about the emotional challenges she faced following her divorce from Naga Chaitanya Akkineni. In an interview, she expressed the stigma surrounding divorce, particularly for women, stating that she was labeled as “second hand” and “used” after their separation. This societal pressure made her feel like a failure for no longer being married.

She said in an emotional tone that she faced harsh labels like ‘secondhand’ and ‘wasted life.’ She added that the society often makes you feel like a failure which can be very challenging for families and women who have experienced it.

Despite the initial pain, Samantha has embraced her situation, saying, “I decided to own it. I am separated, I’m divorced… This doesn’t mean my life ends there. It begins where it ends.” She emphasized her personal growth and current happiness, noting that she is excited about the next phase of her life and career.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya were married in 2017 but parted ways in 2021. As they move forward, Naga Chaitanya is reportedly set to marry Sobhita Dhulipala next month.
