Samantha Akkineni is all set for her summer dhamaka. Having received a colossal response for her role in Super Deluxe, Samantha seems super happy. With Majili slated for its release on 5th April, Samantha is super excited.
It was earlier reported that Samantha is to act in the Telugu remake of Tamil movie ’96’. The movie 96 has Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead roles. This love story had grabbed the attention of the movie lovers and also gained critical praise.
Now that ’96’ movie is being remade in Telugu, Samantha and Sharwanand are to reprise Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi respectively. The latest reports suggest that Sharwa and Samantha are to participate in the official launch of this movie on 6th April.
As the festival Ugadi falls on April 6th, it marks an auspicious day for the Telugus. The makers of 96 (Telugu remake) are planning to launch the movie in a formal pooja event. Prem Kumar who directed ’96’ movie in Tamil himself is to direct the Telugu remake too.
Bankrolled under Sri Venkateshwara Creations, the movie is being produced by Dil Raju. The sources reported that the pre-production works are to be wrapped up soon. Also, minute changes to match Telugu nativity are being made. More details to be out soon.
This is the first time Samantha and Sharwanad are being paired up for a movie. It is expected that the actors would impress their fans with their performances in this feel-good love story.
