We have already reported that the gorgeous actress Samantha joined 96 remake sets soon after completion of her family vacation.
The remake is directed by Prem Kumar, the director of the Tamil original, and produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateshwara Creations.
Samantha and Sharwanand will be seen as Jaanu and Ram, characters played by Trisha and Viay Sethupathi in the original. The title for the remake is yet to be finalized. Prem Kumar has revealed that apart from a few changes made for the Telugu audience, the film will be a frame-to-frame remake.
If the latest reports are to be believed, the shooting of the film is halfway through but Samantha is yet to can major scenes of her character.
A source close to the unit said that Sam is a bit tensed to pull off the major scenes and is taking some good time between shoots to prepare for the looks and scope of the characters.
It seems Sam is treating her ongoing project 96 remake as a special one like her debut film. It is heard that Sam wants to have her own style and create a sensation like how her debut film Ye Maya Chesyave did.
Meanwhile, 96, a story about two high school sweethearts meeting after decades during a school reunion, released in October last year, and was a superhit, running for 100 days in some theatres.
