Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai had faced several obstacles since it’s Eid release last year. His firm determination paved way for the film to release for Eid 2021 finally.
Nevertheless, the problems didn’t end there. Film analysts found that a huge clash is running between the movie theatres and the film’s digital sponsors ZeePlex regarding the gap that must be held between the anticipated blockbuster’s theatrical release and its OTT streaming rights.
Reportedly, the Multiplex Association Of India insisted a gap of at least 1 month between the theatrical and digital releases of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai while ZeePlex aimed little earlier without much time gap. A similar issue occurred to Akshay starrer Bell bottom recently. But the actor didn’t give it a second thought and urged the director to defer the release to avoid clash with his own film Suryavanshi. Now it is to be waited to see if Salman Khan would change his decision or adheres to it.
Shariq Patel, Chief Business Officer Zee Studios is in talks with theatre exhibitors who were reluctant to accept the smaller window dividing the two releases.
When contacted Shariq Patel for a clearer picture, he texted back, “Talks with the (multi)plexes yet to kick off in full earnest.”
