The makers of Salaar have announced the exciting OTT streaming details. They smartly opted to sell the streaming rights separately for South Indian languages and Hindi.
Netflix secured the rights for South Indian languages, benefitting from no 8-week restriction unlike the Hindi version, which has been on Netflix for a while. Disney+ Hotstar acquired the streaming rights for the Hindi version.
Hindi audiences are eagerly anticipating the OTT release, especially since many didn’t catch it in theaters. Salaar faced tough competition and couldn’t draw big crowds, despite Prashanth Neel and Prabhas’s collaboration.
With its release on Disney+ Hotstar on February 16th, expectations are high for a strong reception. The film’s potential for a sequel adds to the anticipation, particularly given its performance on Netflix, where the Telugu version fared well, and the English version recently premiered.
