Natural Star Nani’s upcoming film, ‘Tuck Jagadish’ has been in the news for many reasons lately. The film opting for direct digital release has received a mixed reaction from the distributors, exhibitors and audience as well.
Amazon Prime Video will stream Tuck Jagadish from September 10th. Ahead of the release, producer Sahu Garapati has addressed the controversies circulating the film since the announcement of the OTT release.
Sahu Garapati said they are not against the theatrical releases, but the pandemic situation pushed them towards the OTT platforms. “After postponing the release multiple times, we thought delaying more was not a good idea. Considering the third wave and shut down of theatres in other states, we believed that Amazon is our best bet to bring wide reach of the audience in the safest environment,” he said.
The producer further said that everyone is going through difficult times and the anguish of exhibiters is understandable. “We got a lot of support from the industry during the tough times,” he said.
Speaking about Tuck Jagadish, he said the film is a complete emotional entertainer which has to be enjoyed with an entire family. “The film offers the emotions that it connects to every family. After watching Tuck Jagadish, one can surely feel that a person like Nani should be there in every family,” he added.
Sahu Garapati has also confirmed his next projects on Shine Screens Banner. His future lineup includes a film with Nandamuri Balakrishn and Anil Ravipudi. The film will have a formal announcement for Dussehra. He also confirmed a film with Naga Chaitanya.
