Director Sampath Nandi, known for Racha, has struggled to get a big break despite films like Bengal Tiger and Gautham Nanda. Now, as a producer, he is making smart moves. His latest project, Odela 2, starring Tamannaah, has already secured strong business deals even before release.
With the success of Odela Railway Station on digital platforms, the sequel attracted great demand. Amazon Prime acquired digital rights for 12 crores, while Hindi dubbing rights were sold for 6.25 crores.
With a total budget of 20 crores, the film has already recovered its investment through non-theatrical rights. The satellite deal is also in its final stage.
Tamannaah, returning to Telugu cinema after her web series success, sees this film as a key project. Scheduled for an April release, Odela 2 is expected to perform well at the box office, making it a profitable venture.
