Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan said that it is not appropriate to humiliate family members. In a statement shared by his party, the actor-turned-politician said the political catastrophe taking place in Andhra Pradesh is deeply alarming. While the floods are devastating the state, the people’s representatives have taken no action but make derogatory comments.
“It is unfortunate to make unacceptable criticisms and comments. It is sad to see that Hon’ble Leader of the Opposition Shri Chandrababu Naidu has broken to tears. Such incidents risk discrediting the political system for the common man. The terminology sometimes used in discussions is such that members of the community feel ashamed. The remarks made to the family members of the esteemed leader of the Opposition are most deplorable. These comments are irrationally reprehensible,” Pawan said.
“On this occasion, I would like to remind you that even when the family members of Chief Minister Shri Jagan Reddy were downplayed by some, we similarly condemned those remarks. Those in positions of responsibility need to be extra careful, especially when it comes to talking about women. Janasena is strongly opposed to degrading women and harming their dignity. Everyone needs to condemn such degenerate politics. If not, there is a risk of it spreading like a disease. I urge you not to dilute the political system in the eyes of the people,” Pawan Kalyan added.
