Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday strongly criticised the YSR Congress Party, stating that criminalisation of politics and lawlessness had become the party’s core culture during its rule. In a sharp statement posted on social media, Naidu said the TDP-led government restored the rule of law in 2024 and is committed to governance based on accountability, empowerment, and public service.
Naidu said the previous regime thrived on intimidation and misuse of power, while the present government has brought back stability and confidence among the people. He remarked that even now, while in opposition, the YSRCP continues to resort to abusive politics out of frustration, as their actions and misgovernance are being exposed day by day.
The Chief Minister asserted that the people of Andhra Pradesh are clearly witnessing the rebuilding of systems that were earlier damaged. He said this progress has unsettled those who had weakened institutions during their tenure. According to Naidu, the current government is focused on restoring public trust, strengthening governance, and ensuring that development reaches every section of society.
Emphasising the importance of law and order, Naidu stated that the rule of law is supreme and will be upheld at any cost. He made it clear that no individual or political party would be allowed to undermine legal processes or disturb peace in the state. He reiterated that the government will act firmly against anyone attempting to disrupt public order or violate the law.
Naidu also highlighted that the guiding principle of his administration is service to the people and empowerment of citizens, not political vendetta. He added that Andhra Pradesh is moving forward with a renewed vision, and the government remains committed to transparent governance and long-term development.
The statement has triggered strong political reactions, as the war of words between the ruling TDP and the opposition YSR Congress Party continues to intensify in the state.
