YSRCP rebel MP from Narasapuram, Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, made heads turn when he announced that he was ready to resign as a member of the Lok Sabha if the YSRCP fails to get him disqualified from the Lok Sabha. Ever since RRR started rebelling and speaking out against his party and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party has been trying to get him disqualified from the Lok Sabha but hasn’t been able to do so.
RRR has now set a new deadline for his resignation, saying that he would wait till February 5th to drop his resignation, until when he would wait and see if the YSRCP manages to disqualify him from the Lok Sabha. RRR also made a personal remark and challenged the CM to say disqualification in Telugu (Anarhata) correctly ten times and then he would quit his membership. He said that he would consider this as the inefficiency of the leadership, should they fail to disqualify him or pronounce his disqualification word in Telugu and would resign on his own.
RRR also dared CM Jagan to quit as the CM if RRR wins in the Narasapuram by-polls, which would be conducted after RRR resigns from the Lok Sabha. He even said that he would quit active politics forever in case he loses. It should now be seen what will happen, and whether RRR will contest as an independent candidate or if he would team up with another party.
