YSR Congress rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has been holding regular press meets and hitting the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in all possible ways. The Narasapuram MP has now advised banks not to lend to the Andhra Pradesh government.
The MP said banks would face difficulties if they lent to the government despite repeatedly violating the rules. Mr Raju, who was speaking at a media conference in Delhi, urged the banks not to give funds to the state if they request as the Education Corporation. He even alleged that the government is trying to sell college assets.
It is a known fact that the state government borrowed Rs 17,924 crore in 2020-21 fiscal, which was more than 4% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in the previous year. Another Rs 6,000 Cr was also taken as debts.
There is no denying that the Jagan government is neck-deep in debts and loans. Amid these situations, MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju’s comments have surely hit the Jagan & co very hard.
