Story:
Harsha (Harsha Narra), Rahul (Sandeep Saroj), Vicky (Supraj Ranga) & Surya (Tarun) are 4 childhood best friends who are settled in different parts of the world. One day, they decide to meet up after 3 years and plan to go on a trip to Goa. There while boozing and chatting, they decide to visit their ex-girlfriends. What happened before three years in their lives? What happens when they revisit their lost love? And how they rekindled their old friendship is the crux of the story.
What about on-screen performances?
The film majorly revolves around the 4 couples and all 4 male leads in the film, namely Harsha Narra, Sandeep Saroj, Supraj Ranga & Tarun. All four gave decent performances in their respective roles. All of them are apt in their parts, it can be said.
The same goes for the female leads as well. Megha Lekha, Sonu Thakur, Nuveksha & Khushboo Chaudhary fits in perfectly in their respective love stories. The casting is done reasonably well.
Mahi, Surender Reddy, Pramodini, and all other supporting artists are fine in their roles.
What about off-screen talents?
The story by Vikram Reddy offers nothing new with the plot as it follows the same old routine format involving 4 friends, their love stories, romance, breakups, and a little motivation at the end, which we have seen in many films that have come in this genre. But it is the treatment and the placement of youthful elements that make this a refreshing watch.
The screenplay has its share of ups and downs in the middle portions with the conflicts in a couple of love tracks looking routine. But all the arcs in the love story are neatly rounded off towards the end with a satisfying solution given to all the 4 love tracks which makes it look passable.
The way Vikram sets up all the characters, the love stories, the conflicts, and the matured conclusion is pretty decent for a newcomer. He makes sure that he packages the film neatly to his target audiences and partly succeeds in doing it. Had the film been a little more crisper with a quicker second half, the result would have been marginally better.
The dialogues will connect well with the current generation guys who have gone through breakups.
The songs by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, R R Dhruvan & Vasanth G are alright. The ‘Arere Arere’ song is an instant melody that clicks while the Oh My Friend and Galeez songs are peppy.
The background score by Sunny M.R. is the main strength of the film. He lifts all the important scenes with his score.
The cinematography by Santosh Reddy is first-rate. He makes the film look trendy with his camera work. His framing is good and his lighting is impressive too.
The edit by Vikram Reddy & Santosh Reddy needed to be more crisper. Especially the second half of the film can easily be chopped off by at least 10 minutes.
The production values by Lucky Media & Meraki Films is adequate for a teen love drama.
What’s Hot?
Fine performances of young cast
Well-rounded ending
Breezy love drama track
What’s Not?
* Routine Plot
* Lengthy Break-Up Portions
* Slow Paced Second Half
* VFX In a Few Green Screen Portions
Verdict: With breezy love drama track in the first half, the film has a decent flow till interval. But things go awry in the second half with rollercoaster of emotions not turning out appealing enough. The ending is reasonably well rounded and it gives some solace. With more crisp writing and compact narration in the second half, it could’ve been a marginally better watch.
