The state of Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for Municipal elections now, following the end of local elections. The municipal elections were supposed to take place last year in March but were postponed due to the spread of Coronavirus.
Every single party in Andhra Pradesh is trying its best to get the people’s support through their campaigns, and the media is releasing its own version, based on the affiliation of any individual media house.
Andhrajyothi’s MD, Vemuri Radhakrishna, who is very famous for his frank and bold statements, has written a rather interesting article on the consequences of the people of Andhra Pradesh voting for the YSRCP in the upcoming municipal elections.
Focusing his statements especially on Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur, he said that the people belonging to these areas should especially choose their party carefully, and not vote for the YSRCP, as they would be in grave danger if they did that. RK said that the people belonging to Vijayawada and Guntur would indirectly mean that they are supporting the YSRCP’s 3 Capitals if they vote for the party.
Speaking about the people fo Visakhapatnam, he said that if YSRCP is chosen by the people of Visakhapatnam, then it would lead to the privatisation of the Visakha Steel Plant, against which several protests are going on in the port city right now.
What RK needs to realise is that there are a lot of consequences to the people of these areas not voting for the YSRCP, some of which might end up badly for the areas. However, the way RK writes about all of these logics is highly convincing to the reader. It is now to be seen what the people of Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur decide to do.
