Ram Gopal Varma has been minting big bucks during the lockdown period by making a series of low-budget films. The list includes films like ‘Climax’, ‘Naked’, and his latest outing, ‘Power Star’.
Going into the story, Varma is now planning to direct a sequel to ‘Naked’. The first part had Sri Rapaka in the lead role and Varma claims he made big profits by releasing the film on digital platforms. He wants to make a sequel to the film and cash in on the buzz that the first part had garnered.
The provocative filmmaker is in talks with controversial actress, Sri Sudha, who was seen in films like Arjun Reddy, and Ruler. She was in the news for alleging that noted cinematographer, Shyam K Naidu exploited and cheated her.
Varma is hopeful that Sri Sudha will sign the dotted line as he feels her inclusion would build more buzz to ‘Naked 2’. The actress is yet to convey her final decision though.
Meanwhile, Varma’s highly controversial film, ‘Power Star’ will be out at 11AM today. He is lining up a set of intriguing projects which will be rolled out in the near future.
