Firebrand leader Revanth Reddy may reportedly shift his loyalties to BJP from Congress anytime soon.
12 MLAs from Congress party have recently shifted to TRS, which made the national party lose the status of the main opposition in Telangana. Now, Revanth Reddy, who recently won as an MP from Malkajgiri, along with Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are considering to join the BJP.
Reportedly, the duo are already in talks with BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav. If the talks work out, and they shift accordingly, then Congress will be left with only Uthamkumar Reddy.
Revanth Reddy, who lost in his own Kondangal constituency in the assembly elections, shockingly won as an MP in Malkajgiri recently. He is the only opposition leader who do not mind to criticize Telangana Chief Minister KCR and his government, going any extent. Most of the times, his criticisms troubled the state government. So, his presence in Congress, would surely help the national party to pick up in the state.
However, on the other side, as BJP was able to win four MP seats in Telangana from the recent Lok Sabha elections, the party is pinning high hopes in the state. At this point of time, Revanth Reddy’s entry into BJP would not only help the national party to progress in Telangana, it would also boost up the firebrand leader’s political career.
