TPCC working president and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy was obstructed by the Police department near Begumpet Sunday. Revanth Reddy started a ‘free annadanam programme’, which aims at feeding Coronavirus victims at Gandhi hospital and poor people at the Secunderabad Railway Station.
Revanth was on his way to feed the coronavirus victims at Gandhi hospital when he was obstructed by the Police department. Revanth has arranged vehicles to transport free meals as well, which were obstructed as well.
The police told him that no one was allowed to step out of the house during the hours of lockdown, between 10 AM and 6 AM, and asked him to retreat. Revanth in turn questioned the police about who gave them the authority to obstruct him. The Police department is said to have clarified that they are acting on TRS member and Minister KT Rama Rao’s orders, who asked the Police to not let him visit any place during lockdown hours.
Revanth lashed out at KTR for this, asking KTR to behave like a human being during a crisis like this. He asked if people had their meals in the morning or in the afternoon, and said that the government and KTR shouldn’t play dirty politics at a time like this.
