The vaccine for Coronavirus is finally here – in India, and across the world. The circulation of the vaccine in India will be starting on Saturday, and the necessary dry runs for this have also been conducted in various parts of the country, to estimate the kind of difficulties that would arise when administering the real vaccine.
With the vaccine just a few days away, India has reported a record jump in the number of Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. A total of 28,552 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, a staggering jump when compared to the 12,584 cases that were reported yesterday. A 127% increase has been reported between yesterday and today, in the number of cases.
The government has requested the people of the country to continue to remain aware and careful of the virus, and to make sure that they keep taking all the necessary precautions, despite the vaccine being rolled out very soon.
So far, a total of 1.01 Crore people have recovered from the virus in India, and 2.14 Lakh cases are still active. India has also recorded a total of 1.51 Lakh deaths until now, with 369 fresh deaths being reported in the last 24 hours.
The states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have reported the most number of cases in the country, followed by Delhi.
